FC organised an exposure visit to the field where the communities have the capacity to protect themselves against any hazard and it happened to be this village called Puduchatram near Chiadambaram. After the Community had completed the Disaster Preparedness Mock drill, Sangeetha was introduced as a student seeking financial help for higher studies. We were amazed by her performanace and some of the participants extended financial help. Later we came to know that she is an excellent Bharatha natyam dancer, expert in rope malcom (similar to pole malcom which is a adventurous game in Villupuram region), gained skills in silambattam, yoga and gymnastics. We were very concerned about her talents as treasure for our nation and we approached the top government officials for assistance but nothing came out concrete.

Sangeetha has also organised a group of young achievers like her and her coach who is also has a humble rise from dust. They take part in State and National level events to raise funds for their studies. Unfortunately they miss their classes and hence it is a problem for these children. We humbly request you to extend support in bringing these talents to the limelight so as to find the right 'Parivallal' who could support these young people. Will Forgotten Child make this "Slumdog" into a "Millionaire"?

First Aid Camp held on April 5th 2009.

Antony Xavier FC-Director have visited the Killukottai of Pudukkottai District. As we aware our network includes Pudukkottai District, In order to support the needy children for the primary education in Pudukkottai District, we had invitation from RCDC-Marudhani Women Foundation during last month. On behalf of our FC I had the opportunity to have meeting with the Women leaders around 110 of RCDC-marudhani and the Objectives, programme and the activities of FC explained to them and after the discussion with the Women leaders and the staff members of RCDC-marudhani, we have considered RCDC-marudhani as our partner organization to implement our activities in Trichy and Pudukkottai District. After the meet the I had a oppourtunity to meet a group of children and I had interaction about their education and the condition of their life. The complete report of the visit will be presented to the FC members during January meeting.
